Benvingut a Barcelona…!!! (Welcome to Barcelona)

I haven’t been to much places, however, -w/o any doubt- Barcelona took its place at the top on my list. In this post and the following posts about Barcelona, I will try to present you various screenshots from the moments in Barcelona.

 

Let’s begin with the most apparent thing about Barcelona: It is not Barcelona FC, not La Sagrada Familia, not Las Ramblas, nor the political issues on Spain / Catalunya… It is los perros (the dogs) in Barcelona. I do not like dogs much. Maybe more than dislike, I hate them. A hatred that had been triggered by fear. It goes back to my childhood when I was chased by a gang of dogs. Since then, I haven’t overcome my fear of dogs. Before I came to Barcelona, I had read and heard that there are lots of dogs wandering around in Barcelona. I didn’t pay much attention, since, how bad could have been the situation. When you come to Barcelona, it is almost impossible not to notice the huge population of dogs of every size and type. I really wonder what is the percentage of dog owners in Barcelona. I will definitely check this out. Another detail on this topic is that most of the huge-size-dogs are owned by older-than-70 ladies. This makes me double-scared when I see a huge dog and its owner lady coming towards me. I usually get confused whether the dog leads the lady or vice versa. The best solution now seems to be crossing to the opposite side when you see these fantastic two approaching you.
